Genevieve (Doll) Heck

It is with great sadness that our beautiful mother, left us on April 17, 2024, surrounded by a great number of her family.

Mom was born in the Red Star district in the MD of Fairview on August 28th, 1928. As the eldest child of Fred and Barbara Doll, she was raised in Friedenstal in a family of strong commitment to community and faith.

On October 2nd, 1945, she married Fred Heck Sr. and together, they began to build their farm and their family. Mom was a hard-working woman, never complaining and always there when needed and ready to help in any way. Her beautiful smile and warmth was felt by all who met her. She was very patient and encouraging.

Mom had a great love of nature, flowers and gardening, reading and music. Mom loved sports, especially her Toronto Blue Jays, curling and the Edmonton Oilers. Loving her family and her faith were very instrumental in her life.

She kept a meticulous house and her door was always open. She was a lady with great values and all her children and grandchildren benefited from everything she had to offer.

Mom left us with years of wonderful and happy memories that truly showed her deep love for all. She will be so greatly missed.

Mom is predeceased by her husband Fred Heck Sr. and her brother, Pius Doll. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Carol (Richard), Gerald (Chriss), Barbara, Patricia (Raymond), Janice (Doug), Fred (Glenda), Debra (Wayne), Brian (Lynn), Karen (Jim), Sandra and their families. Her sisters; Matilda, Annabelle, Marie, Margaret and brother Fr. Fred.

A memorial service for Genevieve (Doll) Heck will be held at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church, in Fairview AB on Monday, April 29th, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
