Arlene Marie Holubowich

It is with great sadness we announce that Arlene peacefully passed away on April 2, 2021 at the Vancouver Hospice Society, with Gerald by her side.

Arlene was born March 31, 1950 in Fairview, Alberta to Carl and Emily (Syrnyk) Holubowich. She was raised in Hines Creek, and went to school until grade nine when her parents moved near Fairview, she graduated from Fairview High School. After high school Arlene worked in the health care field in Edmonton, Alberta. She returned to Fairview and worked at the Treasury Branch. She would continue to work in financial institutions when she went to work for the Bank of Nova Scotia in Kelowna, BC. Arlene later worked as a dispatcher for the RCMP in Kelowna, Port Hardy, and Vancouver, BC. Arlene and friend Gerald Otterman retired in Vancouver BC. Arlene loved traveling to Mexico, Hawaii, and Las Vegas.

Arlene will be dearly missed by her partner Gerald Otterman, her brothers Len (Sherry), Tony (Carol), sister in-law Genevieve, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and her cousins.

Arlene is now reunited with her dad Carl and mother Emily, brother Thor and niece Lorene.

The family would like to thank the Vancouver Hospice Society. The love, care, and support she received during her stay was incredible.
