Clayton James Gerk

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Clayton James Gerk.

Clayton was currently attending full-time classes for Second Year Steamfitter/Pipefitter at the Northwest Polytechnic Campus in Fairview, AB

Clayton was born in Grimshaw, AB and raised in Fairview, AB. He was currently residing in Grande Prairie, AB. Clayton’s hobbies included ATVing, drawing, music, the arts, and being with his friends.  

Clayton is survived by his daughters; Ella Amendt (age 7) and Leddy Gerk (age 4), girlfriend Kelly Amendt, parents Teresa & Walter Hovelkamp, sisters Amanda Skoyen- Parenteau (Kyle), Kristy Peetso (Eric), along with nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his grandfather John Gerk, and grandmother Frieda Hovelkamp.

A Celebration of Life for Clayton will take place Friday November 25, 2022 at the Whitelaw Hall, in Whitelaw AB, at 2:00 pm.
