Curtis Lee Bjornson

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Curtis Lee Bjornson on October 24, 2022 at the age of 43. Our beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Great Uncle, Nephew, Cousin, and Friend, will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

As Mervin and Fern’s right-hand man, he assisted on the family farm. Curtis helped with the haying, fencing, tending to the horses, gardening, and many other tasks as needed.

 In his younger days, Curtis was very athletic and participated in a wide variety of sports such as hockey, and baseball. An example of his athletic abilities was evident when he was able to water ski on his first attempt. Although his snowmobile accident made some sports difficult, he still enjoyed participating in many of these activities.  

Other activities enjoyed by Curtis included camping, quadding, fishing, hunting, and horseshoes. Curtis was extremely sociable and enjoyed visiting with family and friends. He could often be found playing cards and games. He had a unique ability to relate to people of all ages.

He is survived by his parents Mervin and Fern Bjornson, Brother Brian, nieces and nephews Austin, Kayla, and Logan, sister-in-law Crystal, nieces and nephews Dylan, Kendall, and Sawyer, and great nephews Beaux and Merryck. He will also be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his brother Adam, sister-in-law Janet, grandparents Roy and Carol Bjornson and George and Tillie Lundgard.

A viewing will be held for family and friends on Tuesday, November 08, 2022, at Peace Valley Funeral Home in Fairview from 7:00 – 9:00 PM.

A celebration of life will be held at Dave Shaw Memorial Complex, Friday November 11 at 11:30 am.
