With a heavy heart, we mourn the passing of Dallas Lane Basnett. Born on November 24th, 1979, passing on September 22, 2025, at the age of 45.
Leaving behind his wife Maria and his sons Lane, Michael and Chace. His brothers, Garett (Brook), Jay Emary (Karlene), and his loving parents, Gordie and Karen Basnett.
From a very young age, Dallas had a love for equipment and dirt, whether it was moving it or just playing in it. Dallas was known for his hard work ethic. He was great with people and understood how to delegate in high-stress situations. He was proud of his work and his boys. He loved providing for his wife and kids, not to mention all his extra boys along the way. While working, he made strong bonds with the people he was close to day in and day out. His life was full of memories made with family and good friends. Dallas was also known for his humour, belly laughs and sharp-witted remarks. He worked hard to provide for his family, and teaching his boys about life and helping them with their challenges was what he loved doing the most. He always touched people's hearts when he was with them. He will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.
A Funeral Service for Dallas will take place on October 3rd, 2025, at the Dave Shaw Memorial Complex in Hines Creek at 2:00 pm. To watch the service video, click here.
