Daniel Kosheiff Barnes was born in Grande Prairie, Alberta on September 12, 1983. Most of his growing-up years were spent in Spruce Grove. Some of his proudest moments were on the baseball field. In 2016 he moved North to spend time getting to know his birth father and, there in the tiny town of Fort Vermilion, he met the love of his life, Glenda Krahn. Together they built a life led by the dreams they shared. Most important to them was the family they created. To know him, was to gain a deep appreciation for the loving gentle soul he was.
He is survived by his life partner Glenda, their three sons; Knox, Malakai, and Gage, his parents; Vicky and Greg Barnes, Charles and Lucille LaForge, brother Richard (Sabrina) Barnes, sister Chantal (Travis) McGowan, and so many precious cousins, nieces, and nephews. He loved with all his heart and we loved him back. He will be missed, but the memories we made will be with us forever.
A graveside service, officiated by Pastor Dave Brisbin, will be held at Gage Holy Trinity Cemetery in Gage, AB on Friday, September 8, 2023, at 2:00 P.M.
