Derek went to catch the big fish in the sky.
Derek lived life to the fullest and prioritized adventure and experiences with family or friends over everything. His love for stories and embellishing so he had the best are memories we will have forever.
His passion was fishing above all other sports; but his heart was fullest in the Hawk on the farm. His loud laugh and stories could be heard in any environment - you heard where Derek was before you seen where he was. He loved time at the lake at Family Campouts, kayaking, fishing, water gun fights and dinky car road building with his great-nieces and nephews.
His stories will live on with his parents Brad & Brenda Jason; sister Stacey (Byron) Stone; grandma Betty Lepchuk; nieces and nephews Shalon & Kris, Blake & Bella, and Shania & Cody; great-nieces and nephews Paityn, Vance, Charlotte, Meeka, Clarke and Kolt.
He was welcomed to Heaven by grandparents Lawrence Lepchuk, and Walter & Emily Jason; great-grandparents Katie and Mike Lepchuk, Jim & Jennie Asmussen, uncle Rick Lepchuk, cousins Mikey Lepchuk, Misty Klus, Lonnie Jason, and Kelly Lambert.
A Celebration of Derek’s Life will take place at the Manning Ag Hall on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 2:00PM.
