Elsie (Zaderey) Chaykowski

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Elsie Chaykowski, passed away in Fairview at the Long-Term Care Center on November 19th, 2020. Her youth was spent with her parents Nick and Irene Zaderey, her sister Annette and her brother John in the Highland Park district.

On August 16th, 1953, she married Bill Chaykowski where they farmed north west of Hines Creek and raised their three children: Lucille (Dennis), Scott (Michelle), and Larry who was tragically taken form her in 1971. She was blessed with five grand children and three great grand children who she loved immensely.

She was an exceptional cook, baker, gardener, and a devoted animal lover.

Elsie is survived by her husband of 67 years, Bill, her daughter Lucille (Dennis) Driver, grandchildren Russell (Adela) and great grandson Dominik. Carmen (Travis) Jensen, and great grand daughters Danica and Emmalyn. Son Scott (Michelle) and grandchildren, Courtney, Taylor, and Sheldon.

She was predeceased by her parents Nick and Irene Zaderey and her beloved son Larry, in-laws Grace Zaderey, Ed Kowalenko, Dan and Domka Chaykowski, Sam and Irene Stelmaschuk.

The family wishes to thank the staff at long term care as well as Dr. Andreiuk for Elsie’s exceptional care.

A private family service will be held due to Covid restrictions.
