Ernest Frank Ferguson passed away November 20, 2020. Writing a story of Ernest, it would be the greatest story ever written of a kind, gentle soul, a loving father and grandfather, who had a heart of gold.
Ernest was born in Notikewin, AB, and went to school in Keg River. He started working at the age of 13 as a camp attendant. Ernie was never out of work, he was sought after and worked for many different companies that helped build Alberta to where it is today. He married Mary McAllister in 1955, and they had 9 children. He loved hunting, fishing, and going on country drives. Never to pass up a piece of good homemade pie.
The legacy he leaves behind are his children; Verl, Susan, Carol, Rebecca, Brian, Dale, Marilyn, Barry. Step Children; Bob Johnson, Carla Poitras. Grandchildren; Robie, Clayton, Nathan, William, Tasha, Andrew, Amanda, Meghan, Kaylyn, Daniel, Colton, Zac, Jessica, Adrian, Jasmine, Tara, Sabastian, Tasheena, Brendon, 32 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and many others that he loved like his own. Ernest will be sincerely missed by everyone that knew him. Heaven received another angel.
Ernest was predeceased by his father Frank, Mother Madeline, sisters Susan, Emma, Violet, brother Ted. Daughter Roberta, wife Verna, and the mother of his children Mary in 1982.
A Celebration of Life and burial will follow at a later date in the summer of 2021.
