Esther Beth Romaniuk

Ms. Esther Romaniuk of Grimshaw, Alberta passed away at Stone Brook Continuing Care on December 25, 2024 at the age of 91 years.

Esther was born on February 21, 1933 in the Dixonville area of Alberta. She grew up west of Dixonville in the Clear Hills area along with her brother Daryl. She went to school in the area and finished high school in Berwyn.

In the 1950’s she met her first husband and moved to Dawson Creek where she had 3 boys. Esther moved to Grimshaw in 1961 with her 3 boys and has lived there until her passing. She was small but strong and independent and devoted to her boys. She worked many jobs mostly as a bookkeeper including GM and CIBC. She participated in many organizations over the years and volunteered regularly. She also had numerous other talents and hobbies including golf. She socialized regularly and had many friends. She also travelled a lot with her husband and many of her friends to many exotic places. Esther lived a full life.

Esther was predeceased by her husband Tony Romaniuk, her parents and her brother as well as many family members. She leaves to morn her 3 sons John Guttinger (Donna), Rod Guttinger (Lynn) and Grant Guttinger (Kelly). She also Leaves Grand children Brandy and Kyle as well as a number of Great Grand children. She also leaves many cousins nieces and nephews.

A service for Esther will be held on Friday, January 3, 2024, at 1 p.m., at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Grimshaw—a time of fellowship to follow.
