Gary Hugh McIntyre

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Hugh McIntyre, life-long resident of Fairview Alberta, on March 16, 2025. Gary was the loving husband of Anne, and the devoted father of Cody (Tara) and Kennet (Jenna).  He adored his grandchildren: Parker, Paysen, Kessa, and Riley Rose.

He was predeceased by his parents, Ken and Fi McIntyre and leaves his siblings: Susan (Bill Potter); Brian; and Kelly (Emily) as well as nephews and a niece in Canada, and family in Norway. Gary meant so much to so many friends, neighbours and colleagues.  He was a hardworking man who was the glue of the family. He loved horses, dogs, fishing, hunting, camping, hockey, and most of all, spending time with family and friends. 

A Memorial Service will be held at E.E.Oliver School in Fairview at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025. A reception will be held at the Dunvegan Motor Inn following the service.
Memorial donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
