Glen Walter Wasylciw

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Glen Wasylciw, 75, on November 27, 2025.

Glen was born on June 21, 1950, to Walter and Dorothy Wasylciw. He grew up in Worsley, where he met the love of his life, built his farm, and raised his family. Glen married Lindsey on February 8, 1971, and together they shared a lifetime of love, hard work, and cherished memories. They welcomed two sons Clinton, and Roger.

From a young age, Glen was happiest outdoors. In Grade 8, he decided school was not the path for him and went straight to work—helping local farmers, falling trees for Canfor, cat skinning, and taking on any job that helped him grow the farm he was so proud of. Later in life, he rediscovered a deep passion for working on old tractors and returned to trapping, which brought him tremendous joy.

He leaves behind his devoted wife, Lindsey; sons Clinton and Roger (Corinne); grandchildren Jay (Deena), Desirae, Karson (Gracie), Teegan (Luke), and Jailyn; great-grandchildren Mason and Rory; and his sisters Tina, Helen, and Lily.

To Glen there were no strangers—only friends he hadn’t had the chance to meet yet. His warm nature, steady presence, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those wishing to honour Glen’s memory may consider a donation to the Alberta Trappers Association or STARS Air Ambulance, causes meaningful to him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, December 9th at 1:00 p.m. at the Eureka River Hall. The family asks that you join them following the service for a luncheon and time of fellowship. For those unable to attend, a recording of the service will be uploaded here at a later date.
