Grace Alice Knoblauch

On Tuesday, March 18, 2025 Grace Alice Knoblauch (nee Jensen) of Northmark, Alberta passed away at the Fairview Long Term Care Centre at the age of 91 years old.

Grace was born in Bridgeview, Alberta on December 4, 1933 to Niels and Katie Jensen, the sixth of seven children.

In 1958 she met her lifelong partner, Jake, together they raised 9 children. They were together for 62 before Jakes passing in 2020.

Grace was one of the hardest working farm women you will ever meet.  From stooking, to picking rocks and roots and burning brush piles to milking cows and also making an immaculate huge garden and picking berries which she canned or froze from all the produce she raised.  Mom also loved her flowers and always had to tour everyone around the yard to see them and her greenhouse. And of course her famous carrot pies that were a delight to so many.

She always had time for her grandchildren and loved them dearly.

Grace leaves to mourn her sons Wayne, Eric (Pam) Jake Jr., Wally (Holly) her daughters, Debbie (Danny Alfred, and Cindy (Don Kaiser)  brothers and sister-in-laws Reinie and Dolores Knoblauch, Mary Knoblauch, Ed and Bonnie Knoblauch &Inger Knoblauch and Ruth Jensen. 25 grandchildren and 50 great children and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Grace was predeceased by her husband Jake, Sons Art, Irvin, Bob, & Victor. Her Father and mother Niels and Kathie Jensen, Sisters, Inger, Ruby, Vera, Doris, Dorothy (and their spouses) and brother, Wally. Also by her brother in-laws Willy, Vern, and sister-in-laws Emilia Sellin and Alvina Hensal.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2:00pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Northmark AB. Burial to follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.  Luncheon to follow at the Westmark Hall.
