Isaac Fehr Obituary

Isaac was a strong, hard working man whose desire was always to provide well for his family. He had a lot of good, practical wisdom for everyday. He was interested and showed a compassionate heart for people. He left this world in good standing.

His chief occupations were logging and farming. In logging he worked hard to do the job well. His love for the land showed in the meticulous order he wanted his fields to be in. They were not to be worked in a slipshod way, nor driven on. Harvesting the beautiful grain made him so happy.

His cattle also received much care and attention. Daily he would feed them and check up on them - come fall and time for the cows to come home, he would go out there calling, “Come Bossy, come Bossy”. The cows would lift their heads and start moving towards him, lowing. More and more cows would hear, and come. In this way they would all gather round him and start the walk home.

Isaac always had a love for music. Seldom did a day go by where he did not pick up his guitar, which he played very well. He especially loved listening to gospel music. His favourite lately was a song, “Open the Windows.”

His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he always had a couple of quads and skidoos available for them to use. He loved joining his boys on a snowmobile trip in the mountains, or taking the quads down to the river. The grandchildren spent many a happy hour at Grandpa’s house, tubing, sledding, and mudding. Isaac was always available to start their skidoo when they couldn’t get it going.

Isaac leaves to mourn his passing: his loving wife of 50 years, Tina; children Jacob (Martha) Fehr, Justine (George) Banman, Jonathan (Tawnie) Fehr, Mark (Anna) Fehr, Tim (Jenna) Fehr; 24 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, 3 brothers, 8 sisters-in-law, 6 brothers-in-law, and many friends.

He is pre-deceased by his parents, parents-in-law, 2 sisters, and 3 brothers-in-law.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the Worsley Reinland Church in Cleardale, AB with interment to follow. Following the interment, friends are invited to join the family for faspa in the Fellowship Hall.
