Jake passed away at home at the age of 62.
He was the third oldest of nine children born to Jake and Nettie Klassen in Winkler Manitoba. He moved to Alberta at the age of 16 and called Hines Creek home for 38 years.
Jake and Sandra married in May of 1979, and raised four children together, Leighton, Jared, Jesse and Heidi on the farm.
Jake was a B Pressure welder and spent over 25 years pipelining all over Alberta. He went on to be a farmer, enjoying the lifestyle and working towards retirement.
Jake was independent, strong willed, stubborn and very loyal. He welcomed everyone into his home and his heart. His shop was a gathering place for all, many good times were had in there over the years.
He enjoyed life, the family life, the working life, or just hanging out with the guys having a drink. Jake liked to be out and about every day, you could count on him to be there when he was needed.
He was able to fulfill his dreams, living the life he wanted to.
He is survived by his wife Sandra of 42 years
Children - Leighton (Kim), Jared, Jesse (Jessica) and Heidi ( Kory)
Grandchildren - Carson, Nolan, Brooklynn, Colton, Kayden, Greyson, Raelynn and Kohen
Siblings - Judy, Angie, Peggy, Barb, Diana, Kelly, Marilyn, and their spouses
Many cousins, nephews and nieces
Predeceased by his Mom and Dad and brother John.
