Jake Knoblauch Obituary

Jacob (Jake) Knoblauch

On Sunday, September 13, 2020, Jake Knoblauch of Northmark, Alberta passed away at the Fairview Long Term Care Centre at the age of 90 years old.

Jake was born in Northmark, Alberta on January 5, 1930 to Jacob and Margaret Knoblauch, the fourth of eight children.

In 1958 he met his lifelong partner, Grace Jensen, together they raised 9 children.

Jake was a farmer at heart but also did various other jobs such as working in sawmills and running heavy equipment.  He loved to hunt in his younger years and always put meat on the table. He loved his John Deere side by side and put many miles on it just touring around the farms or checking on his chickens.

For those who knew Jake knew that he was always up for a cup or two of coffee (had to be Nabob which he purchased by the case but only when it was on sale).

Jake leaves to mourn his wife of 62 years, Grace, his children Irvin (Judy), Bob, Eric (Pam), Debbie (Danny Alfred), Cindy (Don Kaiser), Jake Jr. (Terri), Wally (Holly), brothers Reinhold (Dolores), Ed (Bonnie) 25 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.

Jake was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Margaret brothers Willy, Vern, and infant brother Albert his sisters Alvina Hensal and Emilia Sellin, children Arthur, Victor and infant daughter.

Due to Covid restrictions a Funeral service for family only will be held on Saturday, September 19 at 1:00pm at St. John’s Luthern Church at Northmark Alberta. Burial of ashes to follow at a later date.
