Jamie Simms

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Jamie Simms, who passed away unexpectedly on October 18, 2023, at the age of 29. 

He was a hard worker and a kindhearted soul who always saw the best in people. He consistently helped others, whether it was someone needing a place to stay, a ride into town, or a fallen tree cut up and removed. Jamie always came through for the people in his life. He was resourceful and handy which was evident in all of his backyard projects and endless home improvements. He loved to cook and loved his aquariums, tropical fish, his turtle, and the many plants that filled his home and garden, giving it warmth and character. 

Jamie was a son, a brother, a grandson, a nephew, and most importantly, a father. He loved his two kids with all of his heart. He will be deeply missed. 

Jamie was predeceased by his grandparents Edith and Cyril Simms. He is survived by his grandparents Levina and Roosevelt Haggett, his mother Constance Hampton, his father Raymond Simms, his step-father Judd Hampton, his sisters Kristina Jewer and Kayla Simms, and his sons Kendryk and Cooper Simms. 

A service will be held at Peace Valley Funeral Home in Peace River on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at 2:00 P.M.
