Joel Alan Sylvester

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our very loved Joel Alan Sylvester born June 28, 1984, a date that he shared with his paternal grandmother.  Sadly, he died at home on Friday, February 18, 2022.

Joel is survived by his treasured son, Oliver Sydney Sylvester, his mother, Carol Dreher (Bob), his father Jerry Sylvester (Vera), sister Chelsea Sylvester (Ernie), and their loving children Jeep and Jemma.  His family in Airdrie Chrissy and Mark Finot, and their children, and Shane and Lisa Hatfield, and their children.  Joel had so many dear friends from so many walks of life it is unimaginable!  Everyone that came into his life became family to him.

Joel will be best remembered for his heart of gold, his dedication to his son, and his family and friends.  He will also be remembered for being loud and proud, his many tattoos, and his dramatic flair of clothing.  He loved the outdoors, the smell of burning things, guns and fire were some of his passions in life. 

He was deeply loved and will be truly missed.
