Linda Eileen House

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda House on March 2, 2026, at the age of 68 years.

Linda was born in Estevan, Saskatchewan, on June 23, 1957, to Robert and Gwendolyn Steinke. The family later moved to Edmonton, where she and her six siblings were raised.

Linda met her husband, Fred, in Edmonton, and they were married on July 29, 1981. After their marriage, they made their home in Keg River, where she raised their two children, Tracy and Dustin. In later years, Linda moved to Paddle Prairie, where she remained until her passing.

Linda loved tending to her flowers and took great joy in watching them bloom. She also had many fountains and often said the sound of the water was very soothing. Linda especially enjoyed sitting on the deck and spending time outdoors.

Linda was predeceased by her husband, Fred House; her parents, Robert and Gwendolyn Steinke; her grandson, Lane Wanuch; and her close friend, Randy Wanuch.

She is survived by her children, Tracy Wanuch (George), and Dustin House (Reneisha); 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; sisters Lois, Wendy, and Shelley; and brothers Norman, Les, and David.

A Celebration of Linda’s Life will be held at the Paddle Prairie Complex on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Following the service, interment will take place at the Paddle Prairie Cemetery, with lunch to follow at the Complex.

Memorials donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
