Louise Edna Dart

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Louise Dart on June 16, 2025, at the Fairview Hospital, at the age of 70.

     Louise was born on July 3, 1954, at the Royal Alexandra Hospital to Bernard and Eva Lamoureux.  She grew up in the Norwood and Terrace Heights neighbourhoods in Edmonton.  After graduation, she worked as a nursing assistant at the General Hospital.  She moved to Beaverlodge to take a job as a librarian at the school where she met her husband, Ben Dart.  They were married on September 20, 1975 and made their home in Fairview where they raised three children, Tony, Danielle and Travis.  Louise worked as the Victims Assistant Coordinator and was active in the St. Thomas More Church. She shared the gift of her lovely voice generously through Church, College Town Capers productions, Cursillo, the Manning Guitar Camp, and singing in choirs and groups.  She delighted in anything that involved music or her grandchildren.  She enjoyed a good game of cards and the many activities and friends at the Garrison Manor

     She will be sadly missed by eldest son Tony Dart (Jenn); son Travis; daughter Danielle Dart; grandchildren Dayla, Evan, Blake and Isaac; brother Cam Lamoureux; twin sister Denise Woodward; many nieces and nephews, dear friends, neighbours, and many cherished cousins. Louise is also survived by ex-husband Ben Dart, and many cherished and loved members of the Dart family.

      She was predeceased by her mother and father, Eva and Bernard Lamoureux, brothers Paul Lamoureux, baby brother Richard Lamoureux and sister-in-law, Judy Lamoureux. 

     A prayer service will be held on Thursday, June 26th, 2025, at 7:30 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at  St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 1:00 pm in Fairview, followed by lunch in the church hall.
