Lucille Audrey (Nelson) MacMillan

Lucille Audrey (Nelson) MacMillan, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025, surrounded by family at the Fairview Hospital, Fairview, Alberta, Canada, where she lived with her family for many years.

Lucille was joyous, full of life, spunk, vigour, and highly spirited. She was dedicated to her family. She loved her people fiercely and they loved her. Her love legacy will be carried on by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We will all miss her greatly.

Lucille was born January 16, 1944 in International Falls, Minnesota to her loving parents, Muriel and Clarence Nelson. She is survived by her children: Michelle (Alan) Blakley, Montgomery (Audrey) Brown, Kimberlee (Gabe) Swift, and James MacMillan, her grandchildren: Allie-Rae, Chance, Cole (Leah), Everett (Taylor), Jaden, Laura, Andrew, Jaxon, Sullivan, Cody, and Dustin. She's also survived by her siblings: Jean (Luther) Lerseth, James Nelson, Yvonne (Buddy) Winkler, Alice Trapp, Carol (Wade) Pavleck, and Duane (Mary) Nelson, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter Denise, grandson Ryan, her parents Muriel and Clarence Nelson, and her brother Clarence Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Fairview, AB, at a later date, and another this summer in International Falls. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Plant a Tree, or a charity of one's choice.
