Maciej Gerwatowski aka "Matchuk"

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Maciej Gerwatowski, lovingly known as “Matchuk”.

He was born in Poland and began his journey in Canada, cutting meat in High Prairie, Alberta, then moved to Fairview, Alberta, to begin working at Freson Bros. and was there up until his passing.

Matchuk leaves behind some cherished memories. Everybody who knew him loved him; there wasn’t a bad thing anyone would have to say about him.

To mourn his loss, he leaves behind his mom, Krystyna, his dad, Krzysztof and his brother, Kuba Guzik. He has also left behind many friends and family who will miss his kindness and unwavering loyalty to the ones he cared for.

There will be a Celebration of Life held in his honour, on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the residence of Sandy and Ana Chalmers (1.2 KM West of Waterhole, to Range Road 34, then go south 11 KM)
