With heavy hearts we mournfully announce the passing of our beloved Patricia F. Keane on January 1, 2023.
Patricia was born in Duntocher, Scotland November 27, 1936. She survived infantile polio, WWII and the tragic death of her father when she was 15. The hardships early in life became her driving force and Pat struck out on her own and immigrated to Windsor, Ontario at the age of 17. This independent young lady soon met her husband, Christopher Dennis Keane and raised a family of four; Susan, Kevin, Sandra and Christopher.
Patricia was a successful, long standing bank accountant. This career terminated when she battled and overcame cancer at 50 years of age. Thirty years later Pat endured intensive back surgery which left her stooped. Patricia also was faced with emotional tragedies with the loss of her daughter Susan in 1997 at the age of 39, her son Christopher in 2004 at 40 years old and her husband Chris in 2011 at 79 years of age. Her struggles resulted in greater compassion and Pat never lost her love of laughter and her mischievous demeanor was her trademark!
Pat's wish was to be cremated and her ashes to be buried in the family plot in Kilrush, Ireland. Upon her passing, the immediate family gathered and paid their respects. As she desired, there will be no further services.
Pat was quick to laugh, generous, kind and compassionate right to the end! She is now at peace with Christ. Her memory will always bring a smile to our lips! We miss her dearly.
