Patrick Paul Joseph L'Heureux

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Patrick L’Heureux at the age of 60. He passed away at home in Peace River with his wife Jo-Anne of 42 years and daughters Hayley and Breanne.

To highlight one of Pat’s achievements, in his life journey was being a Chef. He apprenticed and worked at the Fairmont Hotel McDonald and then received his Chef’s Red Seal in the early 1980’s.

Anyone who knew him well knew how amazing his food was, Pat’s culinary skills were like no other. Lots of passion went into every dish he ever made. To see the smiles on everyone’s faces was very rewarding for him. He loved putting on banquets and family gatherings. Barbequing steaks was one of his most fun experiences. He enjoyed entertaining everyone with his bold and witty humour. Pat had a kind heart and would give the shirt off his back for most. He loved and dedicated his life to his wife Jo-Anne and two daughters Hayley and Breanne, they were his true gems of life. Although having a spinal injury for many years he always managed to keep busy and tried his best to take care of his family. When his cancer entered his life, he fought it every step of the way throughout the years and right up until the end. He did not give up without a fight. Pat can be remembered as a truly, fun-loving, kind person and was a firecracker known as an open book. You always knew what was on his mind. We will miss you!

He is survived by Jo-Anne L’Heureux (wife), Hayley and Breanne L’Heureux (twin daughters), Rodney, Beth and Marcus Petrowsky, Susanne L’Heureux (sister), and Tammy Mihalchon (sister)

Patrick was pre-deceased by Richard L’Heureux (Brother), Diana Battle (mother), Lucille and Patrick (grandparents), Karin Jiwani (friend), and John Kuniski (grandpa).

A private gathering will take place at the L'Heureux family home on August 31, 2024.
