It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pauline Friesen October 2, 2020, at the age of 71. She passed away at the Fairview Hospital after fighting cancer for many years.
Born in Charlottetown, PEI, Pauline became a nurse, which led her out west where she would meet her future husband Ron. She nursed in the hospital as well as for the public health unit and also worked as the nurse at Fairview College. She purchased product for and setup and organized giftware displays for retail in the family’s garden centres in Dunvegan, Fort McMurray, and Spruce Grove, bringing with her, her co-workers and friends. Pauline, and Ron, hosted many people around their table throughout the years always welcoming the invited and any extra that might have tagged along.
Pauline is survived by: husband Ronald, sons Brock (and Jody), Brad (and Terri), and Trent (and Mandi); grandchildren Matthew, Alix, Zachary, Kylie, Darion; sisters Kathryn (and Louis) Wilchynski and Rosina (and Barry) Norris. She is pre-deceased by parents Preston and Jessie Beck, brother Vincent Beck and sister Adele Savoury.
Funeral is by invitation only on Tuesday, Oct 6 at 2:00pm at Dunvegan, AB
