We the Brebrich family are shocked and saddened by the sudden passing (Jan. 22/23) of Robert (Bob).
Left to mourn his loss are sisters Alice, Betty (Ken), brother Frank, daughter-in-law Wendy,
grandchildren Brian (Michelle), Skylar, great-grandchildren Hannah, Kate, Ryver, a niece and 2 nephews.
Bob is predeceased by his parents Mildred and Tom, son Martin and sister Margeurite.  
 
Life for Bob started on the Scotswood farm but doing chores was not for him.  Mixed farming, went to
grain fields, machinery overhauls and building any and everything. With acres of trees and a sawmill
R.J. Construction Co. and Hilltop Farms was never without lumber.
 
At age 16 Bob’s first job was with Alta Govmt Telephones.  He was the installer/repairman for Fairview
rural lines.  The farm got a phone!
Bob was a gifted and talented individual who, as Foreman or Superintendent, excelled at whatever he did.
He left a legacy of construction and renovations from Scotswood to Yellowknife and back to Fairview.
Be it a strip mall, a truck box or a spiral stairway it was done with integrity and perfection.
With Bob’s abundance of energy, he was always busy, but he found time to help those with a must-fix-it job.
As the years passed, Bob donated much of his time and talent to developing the Fairview Pioneer Museum.
He was very instrumental in restoring and moving Scotswood log school to that site.
Bob had endless interests. He loved the innocence of children, his pet cat POTS, excellent lawn and garden,
auction sale, country drive, ski doo ride, or just cleaning sidewalks was rewarding.
Via the memories you will live on in our lives, Bob.

A Celebration of Life followed by a time of fellowship will take place from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm Wednesday, February 15th, at the Peace Valley Funeral Home, Fairview, AB location.
