Theodore (Ted) Obrigewitch

Theodore (Ted) Obrigewitch passed on Nov 6/2023 at the age of 85 in Long Term Care Fairview Alberta.

Ted was born in Fox Valley Saskatchewan January 14, 1938 to Jacob(Jack) & Christine Obrigewitch he was the oldest of their six children. He married Evelyn Josephine Gosselin on July 4/1959 they also had six children.

Ted had a passion for farming which he homesteaded and expanded north of Whitelaw Alberta since 1965 which is well known as Rocky Dry Acre Ranch. His love for Quarter horses took him too many places and met many long-time friends. Another favorite pastime was attending old time country music dances with Jean Hudak in the Peace Country.

He is predeceased by his oldest son Brian Darryl, parents Jack & Christine, bothers Peter, Eugene, and Lloyd, sisters Rose (Dei) and Anne Marie (Young).

Survived by his children, Doug (Karen), Brenda (Kelly) Zaitsoff, Tim (Eleanor) , Randy (LeeAnne) ,Wesley (Tessa), daughter in-law Korie Obrigwitch and his long-time companion and dance partner Jean Hudak.

Grandchildren Daren (Sarah) , Wendy, Shanda(Cranston), Richel (Cory), Dean, Linzie, Alica, Shelby, Sara, Braedan, Tori (Matt) , Brad (Jen) and Damian.

Great Grandchildren, Kash, Summer, Krew, Kaden, Jackson, Carsten, Willow and Ryder.

He also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and extended family Chris & Karen Avignon.

Service will be held at the Peace Valley Funeral Home November 18th, 2023 at 1:00 pm in Fairview, Alberta. Luncheon to follow.
