Thomas Banner

Thomas Banner was the beloved son of Norman and Maxine Banner and the devoted husband of Melanie Lebeouf, with whom he shared a life filled with love and partnership. He was a devoted brother to Marlene, Norman, Bruce and Holly. Anyone who knew Tom knew he was the most dedicated father to Makayla, Chance, and Logan, and embraced his stepchildren, Tamara, Tawny, and Rose, with the same love and care, making their lives richer with his kindness.

Among his greatest joys were his grandchildren, whom he adored and lovingly raised—Chase, Kingston, and Tommi-Lynn. He delighted in watching them grow and was a pillar of strength in their lives. He held deep love for his other grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Naomi, Thomas, Michael, Grace-Lynn, Olivia, Onyx, Freya, and Ruby, and he was eagerly awaiting the arrival of Thomas' little sibling in 2025, a testament to his ever-growing love for his ever-growing family.

Tom lived a life defined by generosity, resilience, and an enduring sense of humour. He was always the first to step up and help his community, becoming a familiar and beloved sight in Fairview, Alberta, where he would ride his lawnmower to the aid of any and all who called. His kindness and willingness to help others made him an irreplaceable part of the town, leaving behind a legacy of selflessness that will be remembered by all who knew him.

Though he has left this world, his spirit remains in the laughter of his loved ones, in the strength of the family he built, and in the endless love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers or a celebration of life, Tom would’ve appreciated anyone wanting to make a monetary contribution direct it towards his grandchildren. The family has created an account for them in Tom’s memory so that Grandpa can always be there for them.
