“Yes, Lord. I have come to believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one who is coming into this world.” John 11:27
Tim was born in Brooks, Alberta October 6, 1958, to Adrian van Tol and Ramona Helen Dyck. Tim had a love of music, drums, piano and string instruments. He loved motocross in his early teens (though he tumbled and flew away from his motorcycle a few times). Tim always tried to learn new things, he took Karatedo when he was older, he never did like camping though. He loves cars, trucks and all things related to vehicles, tools and such. He did his own electrical installations and carpentry (to our never-ending house reno/repairs).
Tim has been a member of General Motors of Canada Technicians Guild for around 36 years.
Tim got married to Arlene in the Philippines on 28 January 2006 at Virgen de la Paz Y Buen Viaje Parish, Bilang-Bilang, Surigao City, officiated by Parochial Vicar, Rev. Fr. George B. Alfonso, MSC and witnessed by family, relatives and friends.
Tim passed away of complications of type 2 diabetes and was predeceased by his dad Adrian van Tol, mom Ramona Helen Dyck and sister Juanita van Tol.
Tim is survived by his wife Arlene van Tol, son Cody van Tol, sisters Evelyn Tanigami, Mona van Tol and Susan McCarthy, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life for Tim will take place at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Friday, December 8th at 2:00 pm.
