Wilma Rose (Asmussen) Mulek

It is with great sadness that the family of Wilma Mulek (Asmussen) announce her passing peacefully at home surrounded by family at the age of 72 on March 5, 2022 in Grimshaw, AB.

Wilma is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Donald Mulek and her daughters, Nadine Hellyer (Lee), Carmen Fawcett, Amy Thera and her grandchildren Brendon Thera-Plamondon, Tulsen Fawcett, Paityn Hellyer, Mackenzie Thera, Annika Fawcett, Talin Thera and Conyr Hellyer.  Her sisters Evelyn Thomson, Joyce Yarham, Betty Lepchuk, Karen Solomon and her brother Lorne Asmussen.  And many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Mom was an amazing woman who had a deep love for family and friends.  She filled her time by camping with her family in the summers and her winters were spent with her and Dad traveling around Alberta to watch their grandchildren sports.  Mom was so much to so many and will be deeply missed.

“The fact that you are no longer here will always cause us pain

But you are forever in our hearts, until we meet again.”

A Funeral Service for Wilma will take place at the Grimshaw Victory Church at 11 am March 12, 2022. Followed by a time of fellowship. To join the service on our live stream click here.
